I didn't get a good picture of Laserbeak's robot mode. But he's got a Dimebag Darrell-ish alt-mode, which is cool.
I like his bot-mode and I think his Animated "stylized" design translates well to plastic form. I really like the G1 homage this figure is packed with. Like the "tape player buttons" on the vehicle's grill, and the G1-inspired chest.
I'm halfway to starting my new Transformers band. Just need a drummer and a bass player.

I agree that this Soundwave is a great homage to the original. I've passed him up a couple times but I'll likely get him soon.
If I had a Scion I would so paint it like that as well!
i also really like the soundwave animated figure.
however, mine keeps falling over due to a loose leg joint.
is this the case with yours?
if that's the case, i'd be in dull surprise too.
BubbaS: painting real life cars to look like Transformers is for losers. And that's why I've been looking for a Datsun Fairlady Z to paint like Smokescreen for the last 15 years.
Mr. K: My Soundwave has some finicky knee joints, but otherwise is okay. Hip joints are nice 'n tight.
Hey man...cool site. Hope ya check mine as well...picked up Soundwave but loose joints don't bother me...if you visit my toy site you'll know why lol
